True Patriot Love & MFRC-PEI present Operation: Care for the Caregiver

Alannah Gilmore; Veteran, Ret’d SGT, Medic of 23 years. Mother of two young daughters and spouse to a severely wounded soldier. Since retiring she continues to serve with the veteran community as a volunteer Veteran Advocate working on the Minister of Veteran Affairs’ Advisory Group on Families and also with the Legion’s new OSI Special Section as an executive on behalf of families. She will share with us her journey and what she does to care for herself so that she can give back to her Family and her community.

The Primary purpose of Operation: Care for the Caregiver is to connect Veteran, Canadian Armed Forces, Reservist and First Responder families with resources that they can use to avoid caregiver burnout. To let Canadian Military Families know that they are not alone in their journey. To give families the opportunity to learn from one another in an interactive virtual meeting room.
