International Women’s Day

Inspirational Kick Off
In celebration of International Women’s Day, meet with women of influence in the Canadian military community. Guest speakers include:
- Laura Earl Middleton: Laura has worked in radio, television, and print media for over 15 years. Laura is also a military spouse, which has inspired her comedy show, “I’m an Army Wife. Now What?”
- Karen McCrimmon: Karen is Canada’s first female navigator and commanding officer of a squadron in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she served over 25 years. She’s also the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defense, as well as MP for Kanata-Carleton.
- Cyndi Mills: Cyndi stumbled into the world of journalism while looked for a career that could give her the flexibility she needed raising her children with a husband in the Canadian Armed Forces. Cyndi created Canadian Military Family Magazine to tell Canada’s military stories and share relevant articles.
